Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers by welcoming them, helping with product choices, promoting merchandise, guiding purchase decisions, and resolving or escalating customer issues.
• Maintain sales floor coverage by managing assigned areas and supporting front-end operations when needed, ensuring customer needs are met through effective communication with team members.
• Organize and zone assigned sales areas to keep them tidy, relocate featured products to their assigned locations, and handle returned merchandise recovery from service desks and other store areas.
• Stock products diligently, complete downstocking tasks, secure items with product protection, and set up modular displays including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by adhering to company safety policies, completing safety checks, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling by being available for a variety of shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays, helping maintain smooth store operations and consistent service quality.

Potential Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks in a fast-moving atmosphere, particularly during overnight shifts, by carefully planning to stay energetic and focused.
• Effectively handle physically demanding duties including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning with a focus on detail and quality standards consistently.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is CAD 16.15.
