Staff Pharmacist

Position Overview

The Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role assisting the Pharmacy Manager in managing pharmacy operations. This position focuses on delivering personalized patient care based on consultations and patient file reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
• Receive and process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, and hospitals.
• Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely, adhering to established workflow procedures.
• Counsel patients on pharmaceutical products sold.
• Ensure correct storage and handling of pharmaceutical items.
• Follow Walmart's standard operating procedures and best practices during all operations.
• Operate pharmacy equipment including registers and computer systems.
• Protect patient privacy at all times in accordance with provincial regulatory requirements.
• Assist patients in receiving all eligible pharmacy services such as medication reviews and immunizations.
• Ensure the pharmacy remains open and functional during scheduled business hours.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to support and implement the business action plan to meet corporate objectives.

Compensation Details

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $48.00 to $64.50, with pay based on relevant experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Possess a valid Pharmacist License.
• An additional prescribing authorization permit (CA_APA) in Alberta is optional.
