Over-the-Counter Associate for Pharmacy

Position Overview

The role of an Over-the-Counter Associate involves assisting customers, organizing and maintaining assigned sections within the OTC department, carrying out duties assigned by the OTC Department Manager or Pharmacy Manager, and ensuring impeccable customer service aligned with the core principles and values of Walmart.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold patient confidentiality by adhering strictly to protocols consistent with the Privacy Act.
• Work towards maximizing departmental sales and profitability under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Conduct stock rotation and inspect products for expiration dates to ensure availability of valid items.
• Maintain proper zoning and organization of the department area.
• Follow accurate procedures related to ordering, clearance activities, pricing adjustments, and proper labeling including signing and flagging products.
• Ensure that the working area is free of non-compliant objects, debris, unnecessary fixtures, and spills to preserve cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain error-free pricing checks including adherence to the Scanning Credibility Program standards.
• Calibrate equipment involved in the prescription filling processes properly.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
