Role Overview
The General Manager leads operations to ensure a profitable and smoothly functioning McDonald’s restaurant that meets high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. This position is central to managing a team, setting goals, and driving restaurant success through strong leadership and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager is accountable for running a high-volume restaurant profitably while upholding McDonald’s customer excellence standards. Collaborating with leadership, they define targets and develop plans to reach them. They supervise and mentor Department Managers, helping them establish and achieve objectives to enhance all areas of the restaurant. The role may include recruiting and growing managerial staff like Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team for the future.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience as a General Manager in busy locations is preferred.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly favored; experience in hospitality or retail is also beneficial.
- Must be at least 18 years old to hold a managerial position in corporate-owned restaurants.
