Job description
Role Purpose
As a key member of the Corporate Field Operations team at Checkers & Rally’s, the General Manager drives restaurant success through meeting sales and profitability targets, while delivering outstanding guest and employee experiences. This leadership role oversees all facets of the restaurant to ensure it remains the preferred choice for patrons and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all elements of the profit and loss statement to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives.
- Continuously review performance data to develop and implement strategies that enhance sales, boost profits, and elevate restaurant service and operational efficiency.
- Assess staffing requirements accurately and recruit appropriate personnel for each role.
- Ensure shifts are adequately staffed to maintain seamless operations and high guest satisfaction levels.
- Train team members and management on company operations, policies, procedures, and guest service standards; handle complaints and ensure compliance with policies.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to employees to support their performance development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for both employees and guests.

Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred; Food Safety Certification is advantageous.
- Minimum of two years experience managing a restaurant, ideally within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, Microsoft Office, and operational systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and extended hours as needed.
- High energy levels capable of keeping pace in a dynamic work setting.
