General Manager, Upscale Hospitality

About the Role

An internationally recognized upscale hotel in Singapore is searching for a commercially focused General Manager to oversee the hotel's overall performance, operational management, and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of the Profit & Loss responsibilities.
• Lead and coordinate a diverse team covering commercial, rooms, finance, engineering, security, HR, and other hotel departments.
• Enhance the commercial results of the hotel by sustaining strong occupancy levels and shifting the business mix toward increased corporate clientele and direct bookings.
• Minimize dependence on online travel agencies (OTA) by fostering corporate partnerships and maximizing revenue opportunities through thorough insight into market segmentation and channel distribution.
• Maintain high standards in service quality and operational delivery.
• Develop and nurture the hotel leadership team.
• Manage and maintain positive relationships with hotel ownership, brand representatives, and essential stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Robust background in hotel Sales & Marketing, Commercial operations, or Revenue Management.
• Progressive career development from senior commercial leadership roles into broader hotel management.
• Experience within the Singapore hotel market is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of Profit & Loss responsibility.
• Experience working in internationally branded hotels with 200 or more rooms.
• Exemplary communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams collaboratively.
• Multidisciplinary leadership experience is key to success in this role.
• Mandarin language skills would be an added advantage.
