General Manager

Overview

This position is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee separate from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee manages all employment-related activities, including hiring and staff management. McDonald's USA does not participate in employment decisions or receive application details.

Role Summary

The General Manager is accountable for ensuring a profitable restaurant operation while upholding McDonald’s strict standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves collaborating with a superior to establish and achieve restaurant goals through strategic planning.

They oversee a team of Department Managers by supporting goal setting, tracking progress, coaching, and providing guidance to improve departmental performance, which in turn benefits the entire restaurant.

Responsibilities also include recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to maintain a strong leadership pipeline.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants will have prior General Manager experience in managing high-volume locations, preferably within quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old for management roles in corporate-owned McDonald's locations.
