About the Position
This General Manager role is with an independently owned McDonald's franchise in Emporia, VA, distinct from McDonald's USA. The franchise licensee operates the restaurant using McDonald's branding and products but handles all employment decisions independently. If hired, your employer will be the franchisee, who is solely responsible for hiring, discipline, supervision, and staffing.
The position offers a starting annual salary range from $50,000 to $65,000 and focuses on providing a workplace encouraging career growth, flexible hours, education opportunities, skill development, and a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the restaurant operates profitably while maintaining high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness as set by McDonald's.
- Collaborate with your leadership to establish restaurant goals and implement plans to achieve them.
- Lead and support Department Managers by helping set their goals, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching and direction to enhance their department's performance.
- Recruit, hire, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team.
Preferred Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager running high-volume locations.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly desired; hospitality or retail experience is also relevant.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to manage corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
