General Manager

About the Role

This position is with a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate employer responsible for all employment-related decisions including hiring, firing, supervision, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA does not control employment matters nor receive applications.

Role Overview: The General Manager plays a key role in running a profitable restaurant adhereing to McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness standards. This role involves setting goals in collaboration with leadership and executing strategic plans to meet these objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Department Managers by helping them establish and pursue departmental goals.
• Provide coaching and guidance to improve department performance, which in turn enhances overall restaurant operations.
• Manage hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team.
• Oversee daily operations to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience as a General Manager operating high-volume quick service restaurant locations is highly preferred.
• Experience in hospitality or retail sectors is advantageous.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for this managerial role at corporate-owned restaurants.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $55,000 to $65,000, plus eligibility for bonuses and benefits.
