Position Overview

This employment opportunity is with a McDonald’s restaurant managed by an independent franchisee, which operates separately from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds the license for McDonald’s branding and products but independently handles all employment aspects including hiring, supervision, and scheduling. Role Description

The General Manager position involves overseeing the restaurant’s overall profitability and ensuring it meets McDonald’s high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. This role requires collaboration with higher management to define goals and develop action plans to achieve them.

The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers by assisting them with goal setting, monitoring their performance, and offering coaching to enhance departmental effectiveness, which in turn elevates the restaurant’s performance. This role often involves hiring and training Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team ready for the future.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates typically possess prior management experience, preferably in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail environments. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to hold the managerial position.
