About the Role and Employer
This position is with a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee licenses McDonald’s branding and food products but functions as a distinct employer, managing all employment aspects independently, including hiring, firing, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA is not involved in employment decisions or application processes.
Job Overview
As the General Manager, you will be entrusted with ensuring the restaurant operates profitably while upholding McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. You will collaborate closely with your leader to define and pursue the restaurant’s objectives and spearhead initiatives to meet these goals.
Team Leadership
You will guide and support a team of Department Managers by assisting them in setting and tracking departmental goals, providing coaching, and fostering improvements that collectively enhance restaurant performance. Additionally, you may be responsible for recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team for the future.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates have prior experience as a General Manager overseeing high-volume locations, preferably within quick service restaurants or related sectors such as hospitality or retail. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to manage corporate-owned restaurants.
