About the Role

This leadership position carries overall accountability for the staff, care quality, operations, and commercial outcomes at Lady Allum. The General Manager will oversee a residential care facility with about 110 beds and an adjacent independent living village comprising around 90 units. Leading a diverse team, this role supports a large community of residents and their families.

The successful candidate will provide visible leadership and foster an environment where residents experience exceptional, person-centred care, team members feel motivated and supported, and the village is managed safely, sustainably, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and empower your team to excel in their roles
  • Foster a resident-focused culture emphasizing warmth, value, connection, and safety
  • Manage the clinical, operational, and financial aspects of the village
  • Ensure care delivery aligns with best practices and the organisation's care model
  • Develop strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community stakeholders
  • Promote sustainable occupancy levels and overall village success
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational and experiential improvements
  • Partner closely with the Clinical Manager and regional leadership to uphold care quality and compliance

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of three years in health or business management roles
  • At least three years leading teams, preferably within diverse cultural settings
  • Proven leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, or other complex service sectors
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen to analyze performance and execute improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operations, budgets, occupancy, and ensure compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and collaboration
  • Decision-making skills that balance resident wellbeing, quality standards, compliance, and financial health
  • Supportive and visible leadership style with confidence in setting expectations and accountability
  • Calm demeanor, optimistic outlook, and solution-oriented approach
