Key Responsibilities

• Conduct building repairs and maintenance such as carpet, plumbing, and lighting to ensure safety and maintain professionalism.
• Advise the campus supervisor about when repairs or moves require skilled tradespeople or contractors.
• Set up, move, or remove cubicles as directed, managing tasks independently with strong time management.
• May contribute guidance to temporary staff or subcontractors during large projects or department relocations.

Work Environment

The role is physically active, mainly indoors within office settings requiring proper safety gear (e.g., safety glasses, face shields). Correct procedures must be followed for lifting, moving, and climbing. Minimal sitting; predominantly walking and climbing. Employees must wear the provided Petco uniform daily.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; preferably technical school in a related field and 4 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems required. Experience with building management and work order systems preferred.
• Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to interact professionally at all organizational levels.

Additional Information

All qualified candidates, including those with arrest or conviction records, will be considered following applicable fair chance laws. Salary ranges vary by location and position but fall between $22.79 and $37.84 per hour or equivalent, with specific compensation dependent on experience and regulatory requirements.
