Job Summary

As a General Production team member, you will contribute to safely producing high-quality meat products by performing vital tasks on the production line. Your reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting a positive and efficient work environment. Your efforts help deliver wholesome food to families nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment to process meat products.
• Perform physically demanding tasks requiring good hand-eye coordination.
• Work scheduled shifts with potential overtime based on production needs.
• Maintain safety and efficiency throughout production operations.
• Support teamwork and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Perform continuous and repetitive motions such as grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms.
• Stand for up to 12-hour shifts on concrete floors or platforms.
• Work in areas with animal blood and carcass parts in temperatures ranging from cold (20-40°F) to hot (over 100°F).
• Operate in wet, humid, and noisy environments while wearing personal protective equipment including hard hats, hearing and eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.
• Handle sanitation chemicals and tolerate strong odors.
• Move over ladders, stairways, walkways, and platforms; bend, stoop, twist, and walk long distances during shifts.
• Lifting requirements may include repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifts up to 60 lbs, and use of mechanical assistance for heavy objects.
• Ability to work with knives if appropriately trained and certified to operate specific equipment as required.

• Must be capable of understanding and following both oral and written instructions.
