Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Consistently adhere to all safety protocols and wear the designated protective gear for each activity.
- Report any suspicious, hazardous conditions or potential improvements to supervisors promptly.
- Execute tasks assigned by the Laboratory Manager or supervisors, providing confirmation upon completion.
- Follow documented procedures, or when unavailable, adhere to verbal instructions from supervisory personnel.
- Maintain accurate identification and order of samples during processing; immediately notify supervisors of any discrepancies.
- Handle samples carefully to ensure their integrity is preserved, avoiding loss, contamination, or mix-ups, and report incidents without delay.
- Observe work quality, noting unusual occurrences such as reactive samples or incomplete dissolutions, and inform supervisors as necessary.
- Properly complete and sign relevant forms and worksheets documenting laboratory activities.
- Operate laboratory equipment following manuals and safety guidelines, conduct equipment calibration checks when applicable, and report faults or suspect performance; avoid using malfunctioning devices.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance like lubrication and part cleaning; keep work areas and equipment orderly and clean post-use.
- Suggest improvements regarding methods or operations to management or quality personnel.
- Complete documentation aligned with ISO 17025, INAB standards, and the laboratory’s quality system requirements.
Experience and Qualifications
While prior laboratory experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates should have completed full or partial secondary education and be capable of comprehending both oral and written instructions.
