About the Role and Employer
If you enjoy being active outdoors and helping create memorable experiences, this position as a General Hand at Walter Peak High Country Farm offers a dynamic environment where every day brings something different. You will support the daily operations of the site, engage with guests, and assist with upkeep to help maintain the exceptional reputation of Walter Peak.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operations of Walter Peak High Country Farm
- Welcome and support guests upon arrival to enhance their experience
- Maintain the condition of wharves, pathways, staff and public facilities
- Help manage stores, handle deliveries, monitor stock, and provide assistance with food services
- Oversee waste management and recycling throughout the property
- Prepare, split, and stack firewood for BBQ use
- Operate company vehicles safely and conduct required vehicle inspections
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent guest experiences
Candidate Requirements
- Enjoy physically demanding, hands-on work
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Positive attitude and strong dedication to the role
- Friendly and enjoys providing quality customer service
- Works well within a team environment
- Committed to maintaining clean, safe, and attractive facilities
- Holds a full New Zealand Driver Licence
