Job description
Position Overview
Located in the Woodlands area of Southland, just 15 minutes from Invercargill, this full-time opportunity is based on a well-equipped 156-hectare dairy farm. The farm operates a 40-bale external rotary shed and milks up to 480 cows at peak. Wintering of stock off-farm is practiced alongside in-shed feeding using an Automatic Cup Remover (ACR) system.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily farm operational activities as guided by management.
- Participate in milking processes ensuring hygiene and efficient routines, twice daily until the end of May.
- Assist in identifying, treating, and reporting any animal health concerns.
- Help with nutrition including feeding, handling, and moving livestock.
- Operate tractors confidently and manage 2-wheeler and/or 4-wheeler vehicles; training provided for mowing and fertilizer spreading.

This role may suit couples as casual work opportunities could be available for partners. The farm is not accredited; therefore, applicants must be current New Zealand residents. Applications must include two recent work references; character references are not accepted.
