General Assistant

About the Role

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a dependable and energetic General Assistant to enhance our retail store operations in Windhoek, Namibia. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, managing stock and merchandising, delivering outstanding customer service, and contributing positively to the team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily upkeep of kitchen, toilet, and store areas according to OHASA standards, keeping aisles clear and displays secure.
• Handle unpacking of deliveries, restocking shelves, performing stock counts, installing promotional materials, applying suite treatments, and reporting any stock discrepancies or damages.
• Provide exemplary customer service, assist in resolving customer conflicts, and consistently exceed expectations in line with company service policies.
• Effectively prioritize daily tasks, foster constructive relationships within the team, and actively pursue opportunities for personal skills enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4).
• At least one year of prior experience working as a general worker in a retail environment.
• Familiarity with OHASA legislation, retail service standards, and internal store protocols.
• Demonstrated communication skills, ability to manage time efficiently, multitask, pay close attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
