Gen AI Data Scientist

This role focuses on advanced natural language processing projects aimed at extracting significant insights from extensive textual data using machine learning and statistical modeling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy NLP models for diverse tasks such as text classification, sentiment detection, entity recognition, and language translation.
• Apply machine learning and deep learning methods to derive valuable information from unstructured text datasets.
• Clean and preprocess large volumes of text data utilizing techniques like tokenization, stemming, and lemmatization.
• Develop and engineer meaningful text-based features to enhance model effectiveness, including capturing semantic relationships.
• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate NLP models using suitable algorithms and performance metrics such as precision, recall, F1 score, and accuracy.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on textual datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies using statistical tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and domain subject matter experts to integrate NLP solutions into broader applications and define project objectives and outcomes.
• Optimize NLP algorithms for better computational efficiency and accuracy, leveraging parallel and distributed computing when handling large data volumes.
• Stay current with evolving NLP and machine learning developments and apply innovative techniques to address complex business challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for projects, methodologies, and code to ensure reproducibility and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience specific to Gen AI within data science roles.
• Proficient programming skills in Python or R.
• Strong familiarity with NLP libraries and frameworks such as NLTK, SpaCy, TensorFlow.
• Expertise in machine learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning models.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning platforms like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Deep understanding of text mining, information retrieval, and semantic analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies considered advantageous.
