About the Role

Orcapod Consulting Services Private Limited is seeking skilled GCP Data Engineers with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and engineering solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. The position is based in Chennai and offered on a contract-to-hire basis.

Essential Skills and Expertise

• Proven hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform Data Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Google BigQuery, Google Dataproc, and Pub/Sub services.
• Proficiency in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark.
• Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data warehousing principles.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience optimizing data processing and transformation pipelines for enhanced performance.

Desirable Additional Skills

• Familiarity with GCP DevOps practices.
• Experience in data modeling techniques.
• Competence with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding of data governance and quality management.
• Awareness of data security best practices.
