Gatesperson

Role Overview

We are seeking a Gatesperson to join our site teams across various locations within the United Utilities region in Dukinfield. Reporting to the Site Manager or Construction Manager, you will ensure all site-related tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and on schedule, adhering to quality standards and contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute tasks strictly according to Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and adhere to Health, Safety, and Quality company protocols.
• Assist the Site Manager in maintaining a safe environment for all staff, contractors, partners, and visitors.
• Verify that all project documentation accurately reflects the required work.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on Method Statements and Risk Assessments, including Work Instructions, as directed by the Site Manager.
• Document all non-conformances and opportunities for improvement, coordinating corrective actions with Site Manager or General Foreman.
• Ensure all work complies with client specifications and quality requirements.
• Complete duties within proposed timelines, aligning with project schedules.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in water sector construction roles.
• CSCS certification and Traffic Marshall qualification.
• First aid certification.
• Training in underground service avoidance (HSG47).
• SEATS certification for environmental awareness.
• Demonstrated success managing a variety of project sizes while maintaining safety compliance.
