Role Summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited is seeking a dedicated Gardener/General Mill Worker to join the Plane Creek Mill team in Sarina, Queensland. This role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, combining gardening duties with support of mill maintenance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and upkeep of gardens, lawns, and grounds on the mill premises, ensuring they look their best.
• Operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely, such as zero-turn mowers, push mowers, whipper snippers, and power tools.
• Assist tradespeople in maintenance and repair tasks throughout the mill facilities.
• Carry out housekeeping and general labouring duties including cleaning and upkeep activities.
• Provide support during the busy crush season by performing tasks such as hosing, air lancing, cleaning, and general site maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and job completion wherever assistance is needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including completion of necessary permits and risk assessments.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or similar practical roles is essential.
• Possession of a valid manual driver’s license.
• Confidence and proficiency in handling machinery and power tools.
• An ability to work independently without continual supervision.
• Strong communication capabilities paired with a cooperative team mindset.
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
