Game Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a Game Data Analyst skilled at transforming player behavior data into practical insights that guide game design and live operations. This position demands proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of game design to effectively address questions relevant to designers and producers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze key metrics related to player behavior, retention, monetization, and engagement.
• Create dashboards and reports tailored for live operations, design, and product teams.
• Execute A/B tests for features, balance adjustments, and live events.
• Conduct player segmentation and evaluate lifecycle analytics.
• Collaborate with designers and producers to support analytics-driven decision making.
• Detect data quality problems and work with engineering teams to improve data instrumentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in game analytics, product analytics, or related data analysis roles.
• Proficient in SQL and experienced with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Familiarity using business intelligence tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI as well as game analytics platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python or R programming for analytical tasks.
• Understanding of essential game performance indicators including DAU, retention, ARPDAU, and conversion rates.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
