Job description
Overview
We are collaborating with a prestigious Irish wealth and asset management firm to recruit a director-level professional integral to their investment division. This role serves as the essential liaison between the company and governance boards and service providers overseeing €9 billion in regulated UCITS funds. Based in Dublin and offering a hybrid work setting, this position reports to the Investment Function leadership team and includes a comprehensive package of salary, bonuses, pension, and benefits suitable for a senior executive.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with the Management Company (ManCo), administrators, and depositaries. They will lead all aspects of governance relating to fund launches, mergers, fee and prospectus modifications, serving as the primary contact for board-level oversight, escalation, and evidence-based reporting. This role uniquely requires overseeing the entire delegated operating model, providing significant autonomy in governance of the fund range beyond mere administration.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a decade of experience in UCITS fund governance, fund operations, or investment oversight within asset management, ManCo, or related sectors.
- A demonstrated history of effectively managing delegated operational models—including ManCo, administrators, and sub-investment managers—and driving results through influence and escalation.
- Proficiency in engaging with board-level stakeholders, employing structured thought processes, and offering constructive challenges when appropriate.
- In-depth understanding of UCITS regulations established by entities such as the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Exposure to Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) frameworks is considered an asset.
