Research Analyst - Global Equities

Overview

We are partnered with a prestigious investment firm in search of a Research Analyst to become an integral part of their investment team. The individual will focus on evaluating publicly traded equities, overseeing the portfolio's holdings, and discovering investment prospects across various global sectors and markets. This position is central to aiding investment decisions through comprehensive financial analyses, sector research, and ongoing interactions with companies, executive teams, and market stakeholders.

Key Duties

• Develop, update, and manage detailed financial models related to portfolio assets consistently
• Perform thorough research spanning industries, competitors, suppliers, and the wider market environment
• Generate periodic investment notes, analytical reports, and presentations tailored for the investment team
• Continuously track portfolio companies and industry developments
• Engage actively with company executives, investor relations, and other industry stakeholders
• Identify novel stock opportunities and new themes emerging in global industries
• Work collaboratively with colleagues sharing insights and research findings
• Conduct field studies and sector analyses to deepen comprehension of companies and markets

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of professional accreditation such as CFA, ACA, or equivalent is desirable
• Between three and over five years of solid experience in fundamental equity research, preferably in a buy-side setting (long-only funds or hedge funds)
• Expertise in financial modelling and valuation, including advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience covering multiple sectors or industries
• Exceptional analytical, writing, and presentation capabilities
• Capacity to process and distill vast data volumes into clear investment insights
• A sincere enthusiasm for investing and equity markets
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
