The Functional Lead within the AIR Lab software solutions engineering team will contribute significantly in building secure software solutions. The role demands collaboration in Agile Scrum teams with responsibilities ranging from requirement gathering, software design, architecture participation to full software integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Scrum teams developing software solutions in Agile mode.
  • Collaborate on requirement definition, software design, and contribute to software architecture aspects.
  • Integrate various software components into complete functioning systems.
  • Produce well-documented, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Manage the entire software development lifecycle including development, testing, and deployment.
  • Design features prioritizing scalability, performance, deployment, operational efficiency, and user experience.
  • Provide estimation and planning inputs with team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers to share knowledge and improve product quality.

Candidate Profile and Skills

The ideal candidate is a recent Engineering Master’s graduate with approximately two years of relevant experience encompassing professional roles, internships, academic or personal projects. A proactive, resourceful, and solution-driven individual who excels both individually and within teams.

Technical competencies include expertise or familiarity with secure software design, development, and testing. Proficiency or strong interest in full stack or focused back-end/front-end programming using languages like Java, C, C++, Python, or others is expected. Experience with compilation processes, code building, and continuous integration practices is essential. Knowledge of Information Systems computing platforms, operating systems, and hypervisors is required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is critical.
