Job Overview

As a Sales Associate in our Sarnia, Ontario location, you will leverage your knowledge and passion for pets to assist customers in finding the best nutrition and pet care products. You will be a vital member of a dedicated team of pet lovers, gaining valuable retail experience and enjoying benefits such as staff discounts and flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and engage in customer sales transactions
• Prepare merchandise orders, complete banking duties, and handle miscellaneous paperwork
• Stock small items weighing under 10 pounds throughout the sales floor
• Maintain store cleanliness including sweeping and dusting
• Assist with unloading delivery vehicles and stock heavier items (up to 50 pounds)
• Perform various additional duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or customer service roles
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Outgoing and friendly disposition with strong customer service orientation
• Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
• Available to work scheduled hours including weekends and evenings
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
