Role Overview
As a Keyholder, you will play a critical role in store operations, ensuring efficient execution and providing excellent customer service by recommending products for pet health and enjoyment. This position emphasizes safety, compassion, expertise, and efficiency. You will also represent the store within the local community and help drive profitability to support company growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate as cashier and assist customers with sales transactions.
- Manage merchandise orders, banking, and related paperwork.
- Stock small items under 10 lbs, including pet supplies and household products, on sales floors.
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping and dusting for store maintenance.
- Help unload deliveries of heavier items (up to 50 lbs) and shelve them appropriately.
- Open and close the store following company policies effectively.
- Assign daily tasks and goals to Assistant Customer Experts when Store Manager or Assistant Manager are unavailable.
- Perform additional store duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of retail or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with operating POS systems.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Physical capability to lift items up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the store.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license may be necessary.
