Guzman y Gomez is a restaurant dedicated to authentic Mexican flavors and creating memorable dining experiences through the power of shared food. The role of Shift Leader is crucial to delivering exceptional service and ensuring smooth operations at their Roxburgh Park location in Victoria, Australia.

This position requires full-time availability with flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings starting from 6am, midday shifts from 12pm, late evenings from 4pm, and overnight shifts beginning at 10pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow managers to train, oversee, motivate, and energize the team throughout each shift.
• Promote a strong customer-focused approach, providing excellent service for both new and returning guests.
• Uphold strict standards for food safety, cash handling, cleanliness, and inventory control.
• Be a committed representative of GYG’s culture by ensuring all team members consistently follow the company’s values, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain clear and confident communication with all restaurant staff to ensure alignment during shifts.
• Actively manage labor costs and cost of goods sold (COGS) to contribute to the store’s profitability.
• Efficiently oversee deliveries, verifying orders match invoices accurately.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven record of delivering outstanding customer service.
• Completed or willingness to complete the Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• Completed or willingness to undertake the Responsible Service of Alcohol course.
