Job Overview
As a Sales Associate at our Barrie, Ontario location, you will leverage your knowledge and enthusiasm to assist pet owners in finding the best nutritional and other pet care products. Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and assist customers with purchases.
- Handle preparation of merchandise orders, manage banking activities, and complete miscellaneous paperwork.
- Stock small merchandise items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies and household products on sales floor shelves.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping and dusting the store.
- Help unload delivery trucks containing pet food and supplies (items weighing up to 50 lbs) and stock inventory accordingly.
- Undertake any additional duties assigned to support store operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail or customer service environments.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Friendly, outgoing personality combined with strong customer service skills.
- Physical capability to repeatedly lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including weekends and evenings, reliably meeting attendance commitments.
- Dependable transportation to and from the workplace.
