About the Role

COBS Bread, recognized as a Great Place to Work®, is expanding and seeking a full-time Sales Associate to join their team in St. Catharines, Ontario. This role requires no prior experience as comprehensive training is provided, along with a friendly work environment and paths for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small team to deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with regular patrons.
• Manage merchandising of products and execute marketing initiatives.
• Support team efforts by maintaining store cleanliness and assisting production activities when necessary.

Working Hours and Compensation

The position offers flexible full-time hours, with shifts generally scheduled from 6 am to 2 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm. Availability on weekends and statutory holidays is required, as the bakery operates daily from 6 am to 10 pm. Employees must commit to at least one weekend and holiday shift per month. The starting wage is $19.00 per hour or more, depending on experience. Employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week can access benefits after 90 days.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing and walking throughout shifts.
• Regular use of both hands with frequent gripping effort.
• Consistent operation of the POS tablet system.
• Regular lifting or carrying of items up to 10 kg, along with bending, reaching, and turning movements.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 22 kg, and actions such as pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching above shoulder level.
