Your Role as Baker

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you are entrusted with leading the freshness promise each day, transforming an empty bakery into a vibrant place filled with artisan breads and delicious treats for customers. You will join a small, supportive team to produce baked goods from scratch using carefully crafted recipes. This role requires early morning shifts starting at 2 am, with full-time hours of 4 to 5 shifts per week. No prior experience is required — just a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to bake fresh products every morning following detailed recipes and production schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery environment to ensure a welcoming customer experience
• Measure, mix, mold, and shape dough, then bake products according to guidelines

Requirements

• Ability to rise early and work independently or cooperatively within a small team
• Strong pride in representing COBS Bread and its offerings to the community
• Positive attitude combined with good organizational skills
• A dedication to team success, bakery operations, and ongoing personal development

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking continuously throughout shifts
• Frequently lifting and carrying items up to 22 kilograms
• Regular reaching, turning, with occasional pushing, pulling, and forward bending
• Capability to lift at least 2.5 kilograms to a height of 1.7 meters
• Constant use of both hands involving wrist rotation, flexing, and occasional firm gripping
