Role Overview

The Meat Clerk is tasked with executing the full scope of responsibilities professionally, accurately, and promptly. This role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service, encouraging customer loyalty, fulfilling customer needs, and fostering an engaging environment for both employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Strictly follow all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety regulations, corporate policies, and company initiatives.
• Manage ordering, receiving, preparation, and merchandising of meat products according to inventory control standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Promote featured products actively to boost store sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of back shop and retail floor areas in compliance with company standards.
• Prepare customer meat orders as needed.
• Handle department shrink processing when required.
• Assist in training new or junior staff members.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and reaching.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is from $15.20 to $19.85 per hour, determined by work location, experience, skills, internal equity, and market rates to ensure fair and competitive pay.
