Full Time Keyholder

About the Role

Located in Oakville, Ontario, the Keyholder role at Pet Valu involves supporting store operations, delivering excellent customer experiences, and promoting products that enhance the health and playfulness of pets. Key Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and assist customers with their purchases.
• Prepare merchandise orders, complete banking transactions, and manage related paperwork.
• Stock small items (up to 10 lbs) including pet supplies and household goods on the shop floor.
• Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
• Unload deliveries consisting of cases and bags (up to 50 lbs) and replenish stock accordingly.
• Open and close the store following company protocols.
• When managerial staff are absent, set daily targets and assign tasks to Associates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Friendly, outgoing personality combined with excellent customer service capabilities.
• Physical capability to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license may be necessary.
