About the Role
Join a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store in Orleans, Ontario, as a cashier, providing essential health, beauty, and convenience services to your community. This role focuses on putting the customer experience at the forefront.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and engage warmly with all patrons.
- Maintain an orderly and clean checkout station.
- Greet customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Scan or manually enter product information accurately during sales transactions.
- Handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum points carefully and correctly.
- Request customers’ PC Optimum Cards for each purchase.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed regarding customer receipts and returns.
- Maintain merchandising standards such as facing, labeling, and signing in designated areas.
- Follow protocols to prevent loss, including control of cash, lottery, and stamp inventories.
- Adhere to the company’s uniform policy and dress code to represent the brand professionally.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently.
- Comply with store policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and store appearance to company standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Able to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
- Organized and neat in work habits.
- Efficient in processing customer orders with attention to detail.
- Proficient with computer systems and cash register operations.
- Ability to keep accurate records and maintain detailed documentation.

Compensation
