Full-Time Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales objectives and comparable store sales goals.
• Contribute to recruiting, developing, and retaining a motivated and cooperative store team.
• Generate excitement and customer engagement by promoting new product releases and utilizing social media channels alongside services such as Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership to ensure smooth store operations balancing delegation and hands-on involvement with a customer-first sales approach.
• Monitor shrinkage prevention, control payroll expenses, and manage employee scheduling effectively.
• Communicate collaboratively with retail leadership and headquarters regarding sales trends and customer insights.
• Analyze sales reports and use data-driven strategies to meet sales targets.
• Execute visual merchandising according to planograms and ensure timely launch of promotions.
• Support the development of a high-performing, customer-focused associate team alongside the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in retail store management, preferably with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong leadership skills demonstrated through team success, including expertise in communication, recruitment, payroll, reporting, scheduling, and merchandising.
• Excellent communication, time management, professionalism, and a commitment to developing team members.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; higher education is a plus.
• Adaptability to fast-paced and evolving retail environments.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as navigating the store, merchandising with approved equipment, and handling merchandise boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $20.65 to $24.80 per hour. Final salary will be influenced by education, location, qualifications, training, and experience.
