Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a backend emphasis who is driven to develop and maintain the platform that powers the in-room guest experience across tens of thousands of devices globally. This role involves both backend and frontend development, architectural collaboration, and integrating modern AI technologies into products and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend components of the SuitePad platform.
• Construct and sustain APIs, services, and database interactions.
• Assist in building frontend features as necessary.
• Engage actively in technical planning and architectural discussions.
• Write comprehensive tests and ensure high code quality throughout the stack.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, frontend, backend, and Android engineers.
• Develop AI-driven product features such as large language model integrations (e.g., AI Concierge, AI Ordering) in backend systems and incorporate AI tools for coding and code review assistance.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of senior backend development experience using Ruby on Rails (mandatory).
• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks; experience with Ember.js is advantageous.
• Experience managing relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design and integration.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization techniques, including OAuth2/OIDC and role-based permissions.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into daily engineering processes, including AI-assisted coding and code reviews, and to implement AI-powered features via APIs.
• Self-motivated, organized, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
