Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have strong backend development expertise in Java and proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as React. This role involves designing scalable RESTful APIs, creating responsive UI components, and collaborating closely with production support to troubleshoot live issues in Linux setups. Experience with POS systems and cloud-native solutions will be considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs leveraging Spring Boot framework.
- Create responsive, high-performance user interface components using React.js.
- Develop and uphold web applications incorporating Java, JSP, and React technologies.
- Utilize Linux/Unix commands for log analysis, process monitoring, and diagnosing production issues effectively.
- Collaborate intimately with Production Support team to replicate, analyze root causes, and resolve reported incidents.
- Coordinate with DevOps and support teams for application deployments, monitoring, and runtime troubleshooting.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
- Ensure best practices in application performance, scalability, and security are followed.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code adhering to coding standards.
- Engage with Oracle databases for data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Manage and resolve issues pertaining to applications running on Linux environments.
- Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of microservices and cloud-native architectures.
Required Skills and Technologies
- Comprehensive experience with Java 8 and Java 11 environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Spring Framework modules including Core, Web, Boot, and Security.
- Proficient in React.js features such as hooks, state management, and API integrations.
- Solid experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Practical understanding of JSP and Servlet-based web applications.
- Expertise in Oracle Database including SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong command of Linux/Unix operations including log tracing, process and service management, file permissions, basic networking, and shell scripting—critical for production issue resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting live production environments, incident triaging, root cause analysis, and collaboration with support teams for fixes.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of microservices architectural principles.
