About the Role
Auto & General Australia is looking for Full Stack Developers at various experience levels to contribute to innovative digital solutions for both customers and internal teams. The role involves working in Agile, DevOps-driven environments, delivering cutting-edge front-end applications and resilient Java Microservices on AWS infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement scalable, high-quality software solutions aligned with sprint objectives.
- Lead architectural decisions and solution design to support a modern technology stack evolution.
- Enhance continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and optimize AWS deployment processes.
- Take ownership of product features and proactively drive innovation and improvements.
- Establish and uphold comprehensive testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate intensively with cross-functional Agile teams, participating across development, deployment, and support phases.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in software development or related experience, with openness to junior developers possessing strong fundamentals.
- Expertise in front-end frameworks including Angular 2+ along with JavaScript (ES2015+) and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of additional modern web frameworks such as NgRx, React, or Vue is considered advantageous.
- Proficient in Java programming, notably within Spring Boot and Spring Cloud Microservices environments.
- Experience working with SQL and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies.
Preferred Background
- Experience within financial services or insurance domains is a plus.
Work Locations
This position is based in Queensland with options at Brisbane or Sunshine Coast offices including Toowong, North Lakes, and Kawana, each offering convenient amenities and transport options.
