Front End Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a Front End Associate who is passionate about assisting customers and enhancing their shopping experience. This role emphasizes guiding customers effectively to registers, ensuring smooth transactions, and providing excellent service while learning and growing within our team.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers warmly and engaging with them throughout their checkout using our customer service standards.
• Utilizing product knowledge to offer helpful recommendations tailored to customer needs.
• Maintaining courteous interaction with all customers and colleagues, minimizing wait times by acknowledging those in line.
• Promoting additional services such as credit options, extended warranties, tool rental, and pro services.
• Adhering strictly to safety policies and loss prevention measures to safeguard store assets.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Preferred 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or handling cash transactions.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with customers.
• Ability to follow established procedures for mitigating shrink and ensuring safety.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work schedule requires flexibility including potential evenings and weekends.
• Environment includes warehouse conditions that may be dusty and noisy, with variable temperatures due to frequently open doors.
• Physical activities such as bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling items are typical.

Additional Details

• Reports directly to the Front End Supervisor.
• No travel required for this position.
