Job description

Overview

Our client, a reputable and sizeable organisation located in Dublin City Centre, is experiencing a phase of significant growth and transformation. They are seeking to enhance their finance team by recruiting a skilled FP&A Lead who will play a vital role in expanding the company's financial planning capabilities. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, overseeing complex financial models and advancing automation in financial processes, while enjoying a flexible working arrangement with one day per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for managing and continuously improving the Group's integrated cashflow forecasting models, covering budgets, reforecasts, and strategic financial planning.
  • Assist in forecasting liquidity, managing debt, financing activities, and analysing the company's capital structure.
  • Develop and sustain advanced financial and scenario models to facilitate both strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning initiatives while assessing financial and operational data to uncover patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Examine cashflow discrepancies and provide insightful analysis and commentary to senior management, leadership teams, and the Board.
  • Leverage analytical platforms such as Power BI and SQL to enhance reporting, generate business insights, and improve forecasting precision.
  • Drive the enhancement and automation of financial planning, modelling, data handling, and reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate extensively with the Finance department, other business units, and external parties including banks and financial advisors.

Candidate Profile

  • Professional accountant certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in FP&A, financial modelling, treasury functions, or comparable analytical finance roles.
  • Advanced expertise in cashflow forecasting and financial modelling supported by expert-level skills in Excel.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI and SQL or their equivalents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex financial data into clear, strategic insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in regulated sectors like Financial Services, Insurance, or Banking is highly regarded.

Additional Information

This position reports to the Head of Commercial Finance as an individual contributor. It combines strategic involvement with operational excellence in a fast-paced, commercial environment. The role offers a competitive salary of €105,000 per annum plus excellent benefits and operates on a hybrid basis requiring attendance in the Dublin City Centre office one day a week.
