Forge Machine Operator

Overview

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking a dedicated Forge Machine Operator for their Edmonton manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on forged products to ensure standards are met.
• Operate the forging machine efficiently and safely.
• Make minor adjustments during the machine setup process as needed.
• Grind rods according to job requirements.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to production tasks.
• Conduct daily maintenance on the forge machine and forge arm to maintain optimal operation.
• Adhere strictly to all relevant rules, safety regulations, and legislation.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing principles to support continuous process improvement.

Pre-Employment Conditions

• Applicants must pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Fitness-for-duty assessments are required.
• Background checks will be conducted before employment.

Work Conditions and Schedule

• This is a full-time permanent position based in Edmonton.
• Shift work will rotate between day, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Weekend work and overtime may be needed depending on business demands.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for at least 8 hours per day.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English clearly.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime and various shifts as needed.
