Job Responsibilities

• Operate mixing equipment to blend plastics and chemicals achieving specific consistency and viscosity.
• Run multiple injection molding machines to produce plastic products per specifications.
• Manage automated production lines, including use of band saw, pedestal grinder, and granulator.
• Perform plastic trimming and scraping from steel rods to prepare products.
• Conduct thorough inspections ensuring all products satisfy quality standards.
• Complete documentation such as work orders, quality control plans, and cleaning logs accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot any product defects or production issues.
• Carry out general painting tasks.
• Measure and gauge products as necessary for quality compliance.
• Weigh raw materials and prepare them appropriately for processing.
• Set up and shut down processes for Peek materials.
• Assemble dies, follow die setup checklists, maintain molds and carry out upkeep.
• Assist with packing products for shipment and distribution purposes.
• Support crane operators and material handlers when required.
• Ensure workspace cleanliness and maintain a safe working environment.
• Promote positive team relationships within the production department.
• Adhere strictly to Lean Manufacturing principles and company safety regulations.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Completion of drug and alcohol screening.
• Fitness-to-work evaluation.
• Background verification process.

Position Details

• Work base located at Edmonton manufacturing facility.
• Permanent, full-time employment status.
• Shift work involving rotating day and afternoon shifts, with possible night shifts depending on business needs.
• Potential requirement for weekend work and on-call duties based on operational demands.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Ability to effectively collaborate within team settings.
• Competent communication skills, including reading and writing proficiency in English.
• Capability to perform duties independently under minimal supervision.
• Open to working overtime when necessary.
• Adaptability to shift schedules as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods, at least 8 hours daily.
