Job description
Role Summary
WPS is recruiting a dedicated Foot Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance team based in Central London. This full-time, permanent position involves performing electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across multiple commercial properties. The role demands hands-on expertise and commitment to quality and reliability in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical fault diagnosis, repairs, and smaller installation tasks across varied client locations.
- Carry out emergency lighting system repairs and testing to ensure compliance with statutory and organizational standards.
- Assist with general building electrical maintenance as part of broader building services.
- Maintain accurate records of work and asset data using CAFM software (training provided).
- Ensure all electrical tasks adhere to the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Promptly identify and resolve faults to reduce operational downtime.
- Engage professionally with clients and team members, fostering effective communication.
- Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 certification or an equivalent credential.
- Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is mandatory along with Parts 1 and 2 of Electrical Installation.
- Previous proven involvement in commercial building services maintenance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, especially in fault-finding electrical issues.
- Capable of working autonomously and handling workload efficiently.
- Competent in IT, with familiarity in Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems advantageous (training available).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
