Job Overview
WPS invites applications from skilled Roofers to join their Responsive Maintenance division, operating on a social housing project located in Barnsley. The role centers on performing roofing repair and upkeep tasks across occupied social housing residences, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct responsive roof repair and maintenance works on social housing properties.
- Carry out thorough roof inspections, diagnose faults, and perform corrective actions.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards, safeguarding policies, and company protocols.
- Maintain clear communication channels with schedulers, supervisors, and the residents.
- Accurately document completed jobs and materials consumed using handheld or PDA devices.
- Collaborate effectively with other trade professionals as needed.
- Ensure delivery of courteous, customer-oriented service within occupied homes.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable previous experience as a Roofer, preferably within social housing or responsive maintenance spheres.
- Possession of NVQ Level 2 qualification in Roofing or an equivalent certification is required.
- Holder of a valid full UK driving license is mandatory.
- Experience performing work in residents' occupied properties.
- Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations relevant to roofing tasks.
- Reliable, professional demeanor complemented by a customer-first attitude.
