Food Service Worker

Role Overview

This position involves preparing, presenting, and serving meals while maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Transport cooking equipment and food items safely between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Store food properly following food safety protocols including wrapping, dating, and rotation.
• Set up merchandise items daily for sale.
• Carry out cleaning tasks and manage waste disposal effectively.
• Distribute necessary supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, correct serving temperatures, and consistent portion sizes; inform cooks of any temperature issues.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, adhering to service procedures.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, communicating relevant information to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations.
• Support all retail areas including cashiering and service line duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must hold FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with cash register operation is advantageous.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities to handle demanding workloads.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in English, with the ability to comprehend and follow both written and spoken instructions.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or fast food environments is a plus.
• Physical capability to perform all job duties.
