Food Service Supervisor

Overview

This position requires hands-on supervision and coordination of food preparation and portioning teams in a bustling food service environment. The role demands maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while managing daily operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities of personnel involved in food preparation and portioning.
• Provide training to staff in their duties as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
• Accurately estimate the quantities of ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards for both food and customer service.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and promptness.
• Keep detailed records related to inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
• Create and manage employee work schedules.

Work Environment and Conditions

• The work is located at a physical food service establishment and requires on-site presence with no remote work options.
• Working conditions include exposure to noise, odors, and heat.
• Fast-paced setting with tight deadlines, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout shifts.

Team and Supervision

• Responsible for supervising a team of 5 to 10 food service counter attendants and food preparers.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary (high) school education.
• Between 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Must have own transportation.
• Bondable indicating trustworthiness is required.
