Food Service Assistant

Role Overview

The Food Service Assistant supports food-related operations at OASIS facilities serving US Government personnel, Government of Australia staff, contractors, and visitors.

Key Duties

• Perform custodial tasks as assigned in and around the dining areas.
• Help cooks with the preparation of food items.
• Operate custodial machines to polish floors and steam clean carpets.
• Ensure top-notch customer service is provided to all clients.
• Adhere strictly to site environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Report low inventory or stock levels to the Head Chef promptly.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks delegated by management.

Required Qualifications

• Hospitality Certificate.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be an Australian or United States citizen.

Security Clearance

Employment requires obtaining and maintaining a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance from the Australian Department of Defence or U.S. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Fluent English communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Responsibilities

• Complete all work safely and responsibly.
• Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to supervisors or safety managers promptly.
• Follow the EHS Handbook's environmental, health, and safety policies throughout tasks.
• Exercise the right and duty to stop work immediately if a job is unsafe or harmful to the environment.

Quality Assurance

Employees must adhere to the organization's Quality Program to consistently meet customer expectations, performing duties in compliance with quality system documentation and contractual obligations.
