Facilities Maintenance Superintendent

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Superintendent assists the Site Manager in overseeing maintenance for all Amentum operational and residential facilities at the designated GPMS location. This role is responsible for developing and managing the Facilities Maintenance Program by directing activities and subcontractor usage, complying with quality and safety standards including Amentum's ISO 9001, FGS, AFI's, EPA, OSHA, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for all Facilities Maintenance matters, ensuring 24/7 response capability.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Defense Engineering Services (MODES) and PSO to address issues under MODES jurisdiction.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to establish maintenance needs, developing job plans, schedules, and documentation accordingly.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Preventive Maintenance Program across all facilities.
• Manage unscheduled repair jobs and oversee work order and control processes.
• Support the Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) with organized inspections.
• Oversee performance and quality of maintenance executed by subcontractors and other agencies like MODES and SAF Signals in line with contract scopes.
• Collaborate with the CE Functional Manager to standardize maintenance procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and implementation of Health and Safety regulations at work sites.
• Maintain a comprehensive Reference Library including technical manuals and drawings.
• Account for specialized inventory and control workshop tools and equipment.
• Create and format Scopes of Work (SOW), and AF Form 332s accurately.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual standards, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to Amentum staff when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, working indoors in offices and maintenance shops as well as outdoors during extended periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of modern construction methods, utility services, and ability to read construction drawings.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce.
• Possession of a valid home country driver's license and eligibility for host nation licensure.
• High School diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Relevant qualification and hands-on experience in Facilities Maintenance engineering, skilled in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, metalwork, masonry, groundworks, and cabling.
• At least five years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in the armed forces.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Capability to acquire and sustain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Willingness to comply with prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Physical fitness to perform job duties including lifting or moving a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of various skilled trades and military/government supervisory experience preferred.
• Over ten years of supervisory or organizational management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with Builders SMS and Maximo software tools is desirable.
