About Nando's PERi-PERi Food Runner Role

Join the Nando's PERi-PERi team in Gainesville, VA, working as a Food Runner. This position offers part-time onsite hours with a welcoming environment ideal for either starting a restaurant career or earning extra money. The role is essential in delivering an excellent guest experience by promptly transporting food from the kitchen to the correct tables while maintaining a positive and service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders efficiently and accurately to guests' tables
• Communicate the food delivery pleasantly to guests
• Clean, set, and reset tables regularly
• Take charge of station and side duties as assigned
• Collaborate with team members to exceed guests' expectations and uphold the Nando’s dining experience

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and operate effectively in a team setting
• Capability to stay calm and productive under pressure
• Dedication to quality service and understanding of food and beverage offerings
• Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols
• Basic proficiency in English and professional communication skills
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 15 lbs repeatedly
• Endurance to stand, walk, and navigate stairs while carrying food items throughout a shift
• Ability to walk or stand between 8 to 10 hours per day
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and lift overhead
• Capacity to climb multiple flights of stairs in multi-level restaurant settings
